Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, marks the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. It is a day for celebration, reflection, and learning. The Juneteenth Committee has organized a rich array of activities including historical presentations, a catered breakfast, music, and water activities for children.

"We are thrilled to partner with our sponsors and the St. Bernard Parish Office of Tourism to bring the community together once again to honor the rich history and achievements of African Americans," said April Columbus, President of the Juneteenth Committee. "Every year, this event provides an opportunity for all residents of St. Bernard Parish to come together, learn, and celebrate the emancipation of the enslaved. We aim to raise awareness and commemorate Juneteenth in a meaningful way."

This year's event will highlight and commemorate the Historical Fazendeville Community of St. Bernard Parish. By focusing on the importance of our roots, community, education, unity, and cultural appreciation, we hope to ignite a spirit of inclusivity and inspire our local leaders and government.

Sponsorship opportunities are available. Sponsors will receive prominent recognition in event promotional materials, verbal acknowledgments during the event, logo placements, and networking opportunities.
